UpstateNYI

NYI (Nazarene Youth International) is a ministry of the Church of the Nazarene that exclusively cares for teenagers.  The NYI is broken into many categories starting with Global all the way down to local.  This ensures that at every level of the church, your voice is heard.

On the local level, every church has an NYI council made up of students and leaders that are nominated and elected by members.  The president of that council sits on the church board.  The local church also elects and sends delegates to the district NYI convention which takes place during the district assembly.

At the district level, there is also a council, which is made up of students and leaders that are elected at the district convention.  The district convention delegates also elect delegates to go to the general assembly which takes place every four years and includes delegates from all over the world.

The president of the district council also sits on the regional council.
