Say what?! A retreat for young adults? You mean life didn't end at high school graduation?!
Sweet!
Come join your fellow Upstate Young Adults in an unforgettable weekend as we reintroduce the Young Adult Retreat to this district. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to connect with other believers in your own age group as well as all the fun. Not to mention, hearing what God has to say to us through the games, the times of interaction and the messages.
Music, workshops and messages will be brought to you by INFUZION Ministry.
Registration will begin at noon on Thursday. Meals won't be available until dinner so you'll have to provide your own lunch for Thursday. We will depart after lunch on Sunday afternoon (around 1pm).

NYI Leadership Quest
We have an awesome opportunity for our leadership-minded high school students. Our Eastern Region NYI Council is sponsoring and leading a leadership training summit at Eastern Nazarene College over Memorial Day weekend. This is an excellent opportunity for your high school students to spend an intensive weekend not only learning ABOUT leadership, but practicing hands-on problem-solving, teamwork, critical thinking, and ethical & moral decision-making skills, necessary to prepare them for leadership in a 21st century world & church.
When: Memorial Day weekend, leaving Friday, May 25 in the morning or afternoon, and returning home Monday, May 28 in the evening
Who: Students in grades 9-12 may apply
Cost: $100 per student (includes travel provided by District NYI, food & lodging and all program materials)
We can ONLY take 10 students from our district. If more than 10 students apply, a committee of NYI Council members will make decisions based on seniority, leadership potential, and thoughtful answers to the questions on the application. We do hope that this will become an annual event, so that younger students will have more opportunities to participate in the future if they are not selected to go this year.
Attached are the application form and pastoral reference form. Both are due no later than March 31, 2012. This gives only about a month before the deadline, so please make sure this gets distributed promptly among the high school students at your church. All applications will be sent back to me at the address (or email) provided on the form. Every student MUST turn in an application (with questions completely answered on a separate piece of paper) and a pastoral reference from either a senior pastor, youth pastor, or significant ministry leader in his/her church. No money needs to be turned in with the application.
